GEO AUDIT

Check whether artificial intelligence can see you

The scan answers three questions in order: can an AI crawler reach the site, does the page declare its facts, and is the text in the shape a model actually lifts into an answer.

01

Crawler access

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended — which are allowed in, which are not, and what that really means.

02

Content without JavaScript

Several models run no scripts. We check whether any text survives without them.

03

Declarations

Schema, author, date, llms.txt and markdown negotiation — what turns a guess into a fact.

04

Shape of the text

Headings, passage length, questions, and external sources that let a claim be verified.

What a GEO audit shows

The first step is access, because everything else depends on it. If robots.txt shuts an AI crawler out, or the page is empty without JavaScript, the remaining checks are pointless — the model simply does not have your text.

The second is declarations. A model chooses between pages where a fact must be inferred and pages where it is written in a form machines read. The latter win, because they need no interpretation and the model carries the cost of a wrong citation.

The third is shape. A model does not read a document in order: it splits it into passages and picks the one answering most precisely. So we measure heading boundaries, passage length, and whether a paragraph stands without context from above.

What you get out of it

A citation in an AI answer is visibility where there is no list of ten results — there is one answer and a few sources beneath it. Making that list brings a visitor who already read the answer and chose to come anyway.

The second benefit is duller and more reliable: almost everything fixed for GEO also fixes ordinary SEO. Structure, schema, speed and headings work in both directions, so this is not a separate budget.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GEO audit free?

The scan and scores are, with no account. The free view hides critical findings, but their count stays visible, so you know what is left.

How does it differ from an SEO audit?

By the question. An SEO audit asks whether search finds you; a GEO audit asks whether a model understands and cites you. Technically they overlap, so both scores come from one scan.

Do I need to install anything?

No. No code, no access. We check the same public surface a crawler sees.

Does it tell me how often ChatGPT mentions me?

No, and no tool measures that precisely — answers are generated per query. We measure what is measurable: access, declarations and shape.
